“Hopefully one day I can play for Valencia CF”
The individual award winners of the VCF Academy World Cup reflect on the tournament and share their hopes for the future.
In recent weeks, the VCF Academy have successfully completed the second edition of the VCF Soccer Camp in Kaunas, Lithuania, in which more than 60 boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 14 participated.
VCF Academy coaches provided a complete program of activities in collaboration with the Zalgiris Kaunas Academy, at the facilities of the historic Eastern European club.
Local coaches worked side by side with the coaches from the VCF Academy, and at the same time were able to complete a training seminar, the objective of which was to publicise the working methodology of the VCF Academy.
“We are very satisfied with the successful VCF Soccer Camp in Kaunas, which we have organised for the second time this year. All the children have had the opportunity to learn new skills and improve their existing ones together with the high-level coaches of the VCF Academy,” explains Kestutis Deltuva, Technical Director of the Zalgiris Kaunas Football Academy.
The relationship between the VCF Academy and Zalgiris Kaunas FA, and the strategic alliance between both clubs, has been strengthened in recent months, including the presence of a Zagiris Kaunas Under-12s side in the VCF Academy World Cup. The team won the tournament by beating VCF Soccer Academy Greece in the final.
